Soccer, the greatest and most ridiculous sport ever!

It's been a pretty full week (and it's only thrusday). Monday, my mom came in town with her neighbor, whose name I finally remembered, Chris. After class I went to met my mom at this nail salon she always goes to whenever she's in town. The thing is, my mom's been going to the same nail salon for almost forty years. And my Pau Pau (grandmother) had went there when she was alive. So it's like a tradition that I should go there. They do amazing work, and at a good price, but I'm not too into paint on my nails. Besides, I wear sweaty gloves almost everyday so the paint comes off in a matter of days.

But this time, the lady offered me a free flower on my thumbs and I said sure, and they were so lovely. She put a little gem right in the middle of a white plumaria and I couldn't stop looking at them. My mom liked them so much, she paid to get them on her toes. xD I never felt so girly in my life.

The rest of my mom's visit was pretty uneventful. We didn't get a chance to go to the movies cause Chris was too tired, but I did show my mom how to pimp her new Blackberry Pearl. It's frickin sweet man. I put songs on it for her, and set her speed dials. She says she was pouring over the manual DVD (yeah, it came with a manual in DVD format) looking for how to work the damn thing, and was amazed when I just click a few buttons and presto-chang-go! I wouldn't say I'm tech savvy, but it's nice knowing something your parents don't. ;)

She had to leave the next day, but I had lunch with her briefly, then had to race over to South's semifinal match! Ugh, just thinking about it makes me sick. In more ways than one. The entire game, both teams were pretty evenly matched, and after an overtime, a sudden death overtime, we went into PK's. And in the ELEVENTH round (that's eleven shooters from each team), the frickin score and win. SUCH A DRAG. That's why soccer can suck complete butt. You could play a GREAT game and still lose. The luck of the draw it is. Downey did not deserve to win, but neither did we. And the thing is, SOMEONE has to win, and whoever thought of PK's as the decision-maker didn't know what the hell fairness is.

But because it's soccer, there's nothing you can do but get over it. So now it's the end of South's season. I really wanted them to win, with all my heart, I was screaming so loud when our goalie Audrey made a wonderful save in the 9th round to keep us in the game, and was celebrating so much when their 10th player hit the cross bar. It would have been great to go to the finals, but guess it wasn't meant to be. There's always next year.

I'm leaving a lot out about how the actual game went, but it has a lot to do with a ref who couldn't call a foul for the life of him and I swear he must of been slipped a twenty from the Downey coach... but I really should get into my hatred for refs, it causes too much stress. We played great, the refs ruined it.

Oh, but a good thing came out of my Wednesday. We were suppose to have a quiz in History, but the class before was interrupted by a guest speaker so she didn't get to finish up a lecture. I knew we weren't going to have the quiz that day, but I was so surprised when she didn't even reschedule it. She actually gave everyone in the class the 20 points for the quiz, without us having to take it! So far, she's one of my favorite profs. Tiny, asian, loud, and opinionated!

So that cold I mentioned before has been slaying me. I could barely pay attention in class today I was so dizzy. I couldn't train, cause I knew I'd just faint, so I skipped and went home to nap (and I never nap). I felt better when I woke, but I'm always excited about getting paid. ;) Thursdays I do private trainings with this nine year old, Ashely. She's pretty cute with her kid lisp and her clumsy awkwardness. Hard worker, and my first client. I get paid twenty bucks an hour, and hopefully I can get more clients so I can get more money. I know people though who will charge 50 or 60 bucks an hour! I'm not that credible yet, so I thought I'd start out small. My own goalie trainer only charged me 25, so when I start getting better, I'll charge more. *laugh manically*

I need a real job though. But I got no skills! D:

Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor's. Ah!
